Events to support Rugby residents with the pressures of the cost of living

Following on from the successful Money Advice Market in July, a second Money Advice Market will take place on Saturday 15 October from 10am to 2pm.

The marketplace event at the Benn Hall, Newbold Road, Rugby, will feature a range of organisations all under one roof who can offer help with finances and debt, food poverty, energy and fuel, support for families including childcare costs and school holiday support, mental health and wellbeing, local job vacancies and much more, including the Rugby Repair Café, so bring along any items for repair. There will also be free activities for children provided by Rugby Children & Family Centres, and free refreshments will be available.

There are also two Cost of Living Drop-in events, where you can meet a similar range of support organisations. These will happen on:

  • Saturday 1 October from 11am to 3pm at the GEC Recreation Ground, Hillmorton Road, Hillmorton, CV22 5ED, also attended by Rugby Police who will offer bike marking
  • Thursday 27th October from 1pm to 4pm at Claremont Children & Family Centre, Claremont Road, Rugby, CV21 3LU, which will feature lots of support for families

These three events are open to everyone, no booking is required. Whether you need immediate help, or worry you may struggle later in the year as prices continue to rise, come and meet the organisations now who can offer support.
