Temporary Road Closures in the Rugby Area

Warwickshire County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) to cover the required temporary road closures and temporary 10 mph speed limit to enable highway works related to surface dressing to be carried out.

This TTRO was advertised in the local press on the 17th and 31st of March 2022.  The TTRO will become effective from the 1st April 2022 and will be valid for a period of up to 18 months, or until the said works are completed, whichever is the earlier.

The works covered by this TTRO were scheduled to commence shortly after the 1st of April 2022 with pre-surfacing dressing preparation works, which are required on some sites but not all. The anticipated start date for the surface dressing treatment is the 5th April. (Works will be carried in a phased delivery between April and October).

The schedules within the draft TTRO attached provide information relating to each road that will be closed and extent of closure / where the temporary speed limit is applied.

Also attached is a copy of the master site notice which again lists extents of the closure / speed limits together with the proposed diversion routes. (Localised versions of this site notice have also been displayed on site).

Details of the closure extents and diversions will be available on www.one.network.org (the mapping system for roadworks) when dates for the works at the sites are confirmed.
